The Proof

SHS presently holds the long-term maintenance contracts for Murco’s flagship oil refinery in Milford Haven and Dow Corning’s silicone manufacturing plant in Barry. SHS conducted shutdowns on both sites during 2010 – Dow Corning’s manpower requirement increased from 35 to 90 men and Murco increased from the normal maintenance crew of approximately 25 up to 150 men. Both shutdowns delivered in excess of 250,000 man hours with nil incidents and strong productivity curves.

Additionally, whilst engaged with Murco and Dow Corning T&I’s, SHS were delivering the main M&E work scope on the three year build of Pembroke Power Station. SHS are sub-contracted for the HRSG’s to Shaw, to Dornan Engineering for the electrical installation, to Motherwell Bridge for the erection of the Water Tanks and to Unit Engineering for the construction of the five stacks.
